there is no I in iPhone (where i = me)
August 29th, 2008 Posted in gadgets, music
Yeah, so back in April, Philip briefly visited Denmark from his hiatus in California, and we had him over for a big nice Danish open-sandwich lunch (with beer and Schnaps of the non-peach kind). With him, he brought me an iPhone, that ANYONE who has met me since I got it, know I have. But, but but…
I can haz broke it
Since April I have had a blast. I have done tons of fun things, parties, nights out, dinners and all that, but unfortunately all that also means that the iPhone has been dropped a (double/triple digit) number of times, and consequently this is what doesn’t work anymore
- syncing songs, videos, calender and contacts (and I have only one album by Paolo Nutini on it, which I am not soooo fond of anymore)
- The external speaker (so no ringtones and no hearing music without headphones
- charging except on the iPod HiFi (which means anything over 2 days away from home => loose contact with world because I will be without phone)
- USB connection not possible on any computer
- Self respect (by that’s more mine than the phones)
…and yes, it still cannot send MMS’s, so no need to mention that…
The tragic death of a sales man an iPhone
I am now waiting for the final breakdown of the device. It still sorta works, as long as I have access to my charger (which is the iPod HiFi mentioned above and it weighs in at a comfortable 10kg, which means it isn’t exactly travel material, and therefore I have beginning to send loving eyes towards my old Samsung D600, which I am looking at now. But have I already been corrupted by the awesomeness that is the iPhone (sans the durability), so am I willing to fork over almost 6000 DKK for a new iPhone from Telia in Denmark when my company pays my phone bill and provides phones? I doubt it, but only time will tell as I am easily corrupted on the gadget front as you can read more about here…
Enjoy a good song that is no good for me anymore
Oh and here’s a video you might enjoy. It’s by Paolo Nutini and a song I once loved, but since it’s one of the only songs on my iPhone, I find myself thinking “man, they’re playing this song waaaay to often…”. But here it is for you to enjoy

Tsk tsk.
Bask in the joy of knowing that my iPhone 3G will never be subjected to that sort of punishment no matter how drunk/lazy/.. I am!
