Banksy takes street art to the big time

If you haven’t heard about Banksy yet, you aren’t following street art (but should, he’s aaawwwesome). He’s a British phenomenon, a street artist, that by traditional terms is doing graffiti and could legally be jailed and be made responsible for paying the cost to remove his art works. In Denmark we have a similar personality called HuskMitNavn (translates to RememberMyName).

He paints various motifs on street walls. I think they are really cool and shows he has a great eye for portraying modern society. A lot (if not all) his street art are gathered on a flickr under the tag “banksy”. Recently, a wall he had painted was sold for over £200.000!!!
