New year, new resolutions
January 12th, 2009 Posted in Uncategorized
So it’s finally become 2009! Ohh how I have waited for it!! For a whole year… (<= KILLER joke… or wait, no it’s not…)
Anyway, this is that time of year where we need to look back at what has passed on forward for what’s to come. So let’s start by seeing what’s been accomplished in 2008.

Nah, I not true of course. One of my biggest accomplishments in 2008 is the fact that I quit smoking! I’m still proud of it, and it’s saved me a bunch of money and I don’t smell like crap anymore (well, not for that reason at least…).
So pretty nice 2008 which I am very proud of! But that just leaves me with setting some goals for 2009! and without further ado, my goals for 2009 are (…among other things):
- Keep being as much in love with my girlfriend as I am currently
- Remember to pick up the cutlery at the company lunch buffet BEFORE I sit down (already didn’t reach this btw. I lasted two days)
- Run Finish a marathon
- Continue not to smoke (again, yay for me not smoking for a full year)
- Plan for new years earlier!
- Go on at least one vacation outside of Denmark
- Have more dinner parties with my friends
- Figure out if the right-wing part of “Det Radikale Venstre” is more in line with my political views than “De Konservative”
- note: curse Kev for making me doubt my political stand point
- Remind myself, and my friends, how lucky I am to have them in my life
- Watch less TV, both off- and online
- Convince Daniel & Asger to let me sell t-shirts at at least one musical gig
- When drinking alcohol, drink less at a time
- Try to lose the reputation that I go to bed before midnight on weekends
- Go see at least two ballets in the Royal Danish Theater
- Write at least a blog post a week
- Read “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins
- Enjoy the last year in my (late) middle twenties (a stretch, I know!!!)
- Call my parents more
- Celebrate my successes more, both private and professionally
- Eat at a restaurant I haven’t eaten at before at least every other month
- Run the DHL relay 5k run in less than 23 minutes
- Write at least 10 postal-service-delivered Xmas cards
- Make sure my girlfriend gets flowers when she does not expect any
A lot of goals? you bet!! I gotta stay fresh and motivated!
So are there any obvious goals I should have include? What are your top goals?
