The HideIt
I have long been annoyed with the cable mess surrounding my lovely (but already outdated) Samsung LCD TV – Grrr annoyed. This didn’t help at all after I got my Wii (thanks Julie – it was an awesome xmas gift!!) which unfortunately introduced a host of cables which, let’s be honest here, looks like crap. And I don’t have a TV alter-type-table to hide the cables in, so I have been looking for how to minimize the cable clutter (as opposed to actually doing something about it). Hello future? Enter : HideIt Mounts for Nintendo Wii. It’s a ridiculuously expensive plastic holder for Nintendo Wii that can be mounted on the wall behind my swivel arm that my TV is attached to. That way all cables can be safely stowed behind the TV. So what does a little bent plastic and some screws cost? A mere $25 dollars (fu¤&!¤#¤& expensive, but hey, they did give me free shipping from the US, so I’ll cope!). Can’t wait til I get it at mount it. I’ll post some before and after pics after I’ve done it. The mount itself can be seen below. Maybe as soon as next year (depending on my dad’s schedule…)
The Driinn
Another thing I couldn’t, not, get, was the Driinn, which apart from its completely and utterly hopelessly crappy name, boasts bent plastic for €5 a piece that will allow you to hang your phone on your wall socket. As they so wisely spell it out on their website “We all share the same story. While our mobile phones are charging, they lay on the floor, kitchen counter or somewhere that is not handy”. I think you are nodding your head thinking “they nailed it”, just as I was the first time I read it.. It really baffles you when marketing is done SO right…sigh… Naturally, I had to have it when I first saw it hanging at my sisters house. I think it singlehandedly saved my marriage…

ehhhh, we’re not, it was to be understood symbolically. The word “marriage” is stronger than “relationship”, so used for effect… Also, have you seen an invite for my wedding yet? If not, then it hasn’t happened, be sure of that!
