@Joe: I also had a hard time finding the specific SIP information necessary to get it to work when I tried. It's only on the link on their front page that works to see a little bit more info. Settings I got from this image. So yeah, the reference to look in their "Help Section" is a bit misleading currently. Thanks for the tip on usenet software. I'll look into sabnzbd and do a write up if I find it makes me switch.

Good writeup. I first visited this blog when i was researching ivacy myself.
I can totally attest for it’s value!

I also would love to see the retention raised, but this requires some major infrastructure upgrades. Personally I pay for astraweb and my ISP has free access too, so ivacy’s usenet access is simply a bonus.

I have been looking into the SIP for a day nowand I can’t find it anywhere on ivacy’s site! Care to provide a link to the features and/or more in-depth help?
The most I see about it is the number ivacy has given me.

Also, try sabnzbd as your usenet client. You won’t look back.
